So with the new addition to our family I am definitely going to have to make some changes to the way I work.  I've been blessed to have a wife who not only understands and supports what I do and why I do it, but also is my main crew member - helping with makeup and styling, wrangling gear, etc.  Now, we've got this 5 1/2 month old bundle of awesome that takes priority, so It will be hard for us both to jet away for shoots, if even only for an afternoon.  So that leaves me looking for the first time in a long while for a crew.  I prefer to have a small group of people I work with on a regular basis who have a vested interest in seeing the end result succeed, rather than hired guns who go through the motions and keep the $$$ clock ticking.  Most people think it's fairly easy to find people willing to help out on shoots with naked girls involved, and I suppose that's true, but the most eager participants are usually not the ones I want anywhere near my sets.  Eugene is a fairly small town and as with anywhere, nudity is a polarizing factor as for how people view your work and choose whether or not to get involved. So, this will be an adventure.  If I'm going to put the effort into recruiting a crew and developing more relationships as a photographer then I guess it's time to start thinking about getting back into doing this for a living.  It's been about 4 years since I've donw this full time. Maybe that's a long enough break... maybe not.... time will tell.
